Heart Week runs from Monday 4 May to Sunday 10 May 2026. It is a timely reminder to check in on your heart health and understand your risk of heart disease.
At Next Practice Deakin, eligible patients aged 30 years and over can book a dedicated Heart Health Check with their GP.
A Heart Health Check can help assess your cardiovascular risk and guide practical next steps to support your long-term health. Your GP may talk with you about your:

Your GP will also discuss a plan with you. This may include prevention advice, follow-up tests, medicines, referrals or lifestyle changes where clinically appropriate.
