The purpose of doctors here is to make a positive difference to the lives of their patients and community and this absolutely includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. In line with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners vision, the GPs here endeavour to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into everyday practice, so that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander healthcare is everyone’s responsibility. As a new practice, the doctors here commit to strive towards achieving this vision so all members of their community are able to equally access the benefits of our healthcare system based on their needs.
