Fred Hollows was an eye surgeon who had a vision of a world where no person is unnecessarily blind.
To realise this vision the Fred Hollows Foundation was formed which has restored sight to over two and a half million people worldwide. Underpinning his vision was a belief that by restoring sight people were being the chance to help themselves. They were given independence.
@Next Practice Deakin, the person centred approach is founded on creating an enabling approach to support the patients to better look after their own health.
