Children’s Care

Children grow and change quickly. At Next Practice Deakin, we support children and their families with gentle, thoughtful, and focused care; from newborns through to adolescence.

More about our children’s health services

Caring for children is about more than treating illness. It’s about understanding how a child is growing, how they are feeling, and how their family is coping.

Parents and carers often come to see us with questions about development, sleep, feeding, behaviour, or recurring illnesses. Some visits are for acute concerns, while others are simply to check that everything is on track.

During appointments, we take time to listen to both the child and their carers, explain things clearly, and involve families in decisions. We aim to create a calm, friendly environment where children feel safe and parents feel supported. Where needed, we coordinate referrals and follow-up care and remain involved over time.

We aim to make children’s health care:

  • Kind and child-friendly
  • Easy to understand for families
  • Supportive of parents and carers
  • Focused on healthy growth and wellbeing

If you have a concern about your child’s health, development, or behaviour — or it’s time for a routine check — booking an appointment is a simple first step. Our team is here to help.
